Equipment Service Technician
Role
The Equipment Service Technician primarily completes service requests, performs preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintains his vehicle and manages his stock as directed by the Team Leader.
Location
Required to work externally at customers premises nationwide. Sometimes required to work Internally.
Position within the company
A key role within the Cleaning machines organisation ensuring effective operation of the service functions: Demonstrations, sales and rentals.
Applicants should have general good health with the ability to climb ladders, lift items and all other normal activities associated.
High degree of professionalism in the workplace.
Personal grooming, dress and appearance in keeping with normal expectations for Service professionals.
Successfully completes all in-house and on-line training programs related to their maintenance level as defined in the Cleaning machines policies and procedures manual.
Key Responsibilities
Service Requests
Completes service requests as directed by the Team Leader
Respond to repair requests quickly and with a professional manner.
Log and complete requests on “smartphone or tablet” devices.
Develop contracts for commercial customers who have ongoing equipment rental, service or purchase needs
Exceed customer satisfaction by offering end in mind solutions and Cleaning Machines brand promotion
Train customers' staff using best practices safe and proper use of cleaning equipment.
Assessment / Preventative maintenance agreements
Perform assessments / PMA as directed by the Team Leader
Clean machines thoroughly and prepare for inspection and diagnosis.
Inspect machines according to the company’s requirements for efficiency and safety
Complete the “Preventative Maintenance Report” or “Assessment Report “accurately
and give to the Team Leader upon completion of the report.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including battery installation, charging and maintenance.
Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations and quotations
Conduct necessary repairs and take machines for test drives to verify soundness.
Instruct customers on equipment operation, care and maintenance
Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in cleaning machines repair.
Maintain legible and accurate paperwork service dockets PM reports and computer based records for both the customer and for our own company records.
Manage and update our work order system Odoo CRM daily, including sales and service logging, service invoices and sales invoices.
Clean and maintain personal work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in cleaning machines repair.
Stock management Perform other tasks such as ordering parts from suppliers daily through Team leader.
Organising stock within his vehicle, managing stock flow inventory and assisting fellow staff members in,good stock management daily dispatch of stock to customers as directly by the Team leader.
Company vehicle and company property management
Maintain company vehicles and keep clean,
Maintain company stock and tools.
Required Experience

Technical Sales Specialist - External
Role
The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, conducting product demonstrations, and promoting equipment sales and rentals. The role also supports customer satisfaction through technical expertise and coordination with the service department.
Location Primarily field-based with regular visits to customer sites nationwide. Occasionally required to work from head office or internal facilities.
Position within the Company central figure in the growth of the business, the Technical Sales Specialist plays a vital role in expanding the CleaningMachines.ie customer base, enhancing the company’s reputation, and supporting the service and rental functions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Account Management
Generate new leads and sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and inbound enquiries.
Meet and exceed monthly sales targets for equipment sales, rentals, and service contracts.
Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and identifying upselling opportunities.
Deliver tailored equipment solutions based on client needs, site surveys, and application analysis.
Promote brand loyalty and customer retention through professional, knowledgeable, and value-driven service.
Demonstration & Training
Schedule and perform on-site machine demonstrations.
Ensure all demonstrations are conducted safely and showcase features and benefits effectively.
Train customer staff on the proper and safe operation of cleaning equipment.
Record feedback and address objections or queries in a professional manner.
Quotations & Reporting
Prepare and issue quotations in line with company pricing policy.
Log all sales activity in the CRM system Odoo
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, machine interest, and follow-up actions.
Provide weekly updates to the Sales Manager on pipeline, closed sales, and competitor activity.
Technical Expertise & Support
Liaise with the service team to coordinate installations, after-sales support, and customer care.
Assist in machine assessments where required to advise on replacement options or trade-in evaluations.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of product specifications, innovations, and industry trends.
Vehicle, Stock & Asset Management
Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle at all times.
Ensure demonstration stock, literature, and spare parts are organised and presentable.
Manage sample stock levels and update Sales Manager of any replenishment needs.
General Duties
Represent the company with integrity, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude.
Collaborate with internal departments to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Complete all required in-house and external training related to equipment, safety, and sales process.

Required Experience
Strong technical aptitude with mechanical or electrical knowledge an advantage
Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the cleaning equipment or industrial sector
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable working independently and managing a field-based schedule
Computer literacy, including CRM systems and basic reporting tools
Clean driving licence essential
Positive attitude, professional appearance, and commitment to delivering results
